Very excited to be involved with this year’s BrewLDN festival! Come and have a beer or 3 with us! July 29th - 31st at Printworks, London!! 🤘🍻#beerfestival #beerstagram #beerevents #beerfestivals #craftbeercommunity #beer ...
It’s been a pretty shit 12 months or so and, hopefully, things will improve soon. With that in mind, we’ve signed up for BrewLDN 2021!! May may be a little optimistic, but if that fails it will be rescheduled until a little later this year. We have some exciting beers planned over the 3 days and really hope we can at last be serving you some delicious beer. See you there! ...
I’ve been meaning to get some words down, reflecting on our first year, 2020, and looking ahead outlining plans for 2021. Having spent this last week in bed ill, this will have to wait a little longer. Some things cannot wait though, namely deciding on the first brew of 2021. A key thing for me this year is getting back to being creative, experimenting with different styles, as oppose to playing it safe. First up then is this.... Continuing the recent ‘lager’ theme,“Descend the shades of night” a Czech Dark Lager 6.2%. Floor malted bohemian pilsner malt, multiple small dark malt additions, Czech lager yeast produce a complex, rich yet infinitely quaffable Czech style dark lager. Stay tuned for updates on availability 🤟 #craftbeer #beer #beerstagram #beerstagram #nocrapontap #supportyourlocal ...
Tomorrow, the first day of 2021, I’ll be publishing a lengthy review of this year and give you a bit of an insight into our plans for 2021 but, as it’s New Year’s Eve, I thought it appropriate to say at least a few words! Gotta say, I couldn’t have picked a worse year to set up a new brewery and of course it has been a challenge. That said, it’s been a huge challenge for us all and, given I’ve been able to do “my old job” at the same time as setting this whole goddam brewery up, brewing, developing the website, delivering orders, etc (I know, get the worlds smallest violins out 😂😂) I know I’ve suffered a lot less than many this year. My thoughts go out to all my friends in hospitality and other industries that have been hit hard this year. I just wanted to say a massive thank you. Despite the harsh conditions in which I’ve found myself getting this brewery up and running, I’ve found huge support. Both locally and nationally. I’ve many trade customers who keep coming back and massive local support, who have ordered beer from me over and over again. My highlight of this year has been getting out and about delivering beer all over Brum, meeting some great people with words of support and encouragement that really have kept me going through this. For this I thank every fucking single one of you. Improving things with each brew, ironing out issues with the kit, refining processes, I’m hugely optimistic for next year. I’ve a lot of beer planned next year and can not wait to get more and more beer out to you and welcome you all to the tap room. A very happy New Year to you all. I hope to be seeing you all in 2021. Have a great night, stay safe. I fucking love the lot of you x ...
For a 4.8% beer, the mashtun’s looking heavy AF today. #HellesAwaits #helles #craftbeer #beerpics #birmingham #suttoncoldfield #beerstagram #supportyourlocal #nocrapontap #beer ...
Hope you all had a great Xmas. After a few days relaxation, we’re back at it this week with the last brew of 2020. However, this definitely won’t be the first beer of 2021! For the last beer of our first year, we’ve decided to continue brewing up different styles with this... Helles Awaits. Pilsner and Munich Malt, hopped with Hallertauer Mittelfruh, this Helles will be ready, well, when it’s ready, following a looooong period lagering in tank. Don’t worry, we’ll keep you updated! #helleslager #helles #craftbeer #craftbeerpics #beer #beerstagram #beerpics #nocrapontap #supportyourlocal #birminghambeer #suttoncoldfield #birmingham ...
"It's Christmas time.... …there’s no need to be a dick”. Paul Young, 1984. Now, I do love a Xmas tune. I also love a Xmas beer. So, for our last beer of 2020 I thought why not jump on the fucking band wagon and bring out something Christmassy. Sort of. And, so, here it is…. Inspired by the season of “illwill to all men”, this is a big, juicy old number. Frankincensed is a 6.5% NEIPA, packed with beautiful citrusy Citra hops, with some underlying grapefruit and piney support from Chinook, bringing a tongue tingling fruitiness and a smooth bitter finish. I do feel I’ve saved the best ’til last (for this year, IMHO). This is being canned this coming Saturday. Once again, news to follow in the coming days on when, where etc, so keep ’em peeled. Oh, and, p.s. Merry Xmas, be nice to each other. #craftbeer #craftale #beerpics #neipa #nocrapontap #supportyourlocalbrewery #buylocal #suttoncoldfield #birmingham #beerstagram #craftbeerpics ...
Mid December, 2020. After the year we’ve had, I could be forgiven for packing up the brewery and going home until Easter ’21, but in the immortal words of B Real “I ain’t going out like that”. Saturday we are canning 2 fresh new beers, so here’s the story on our penultimate beer of 2020. A few weeks ago, our friends from Trinity Brew, the almost new kids, almost on the block, came over for a (socially distanced) collab. The result is this – “Kiss From A Rose”, a single hop hazy IPA (6.2%), with BRU-1 hops. Sweet pineapple, tropical fruit with a bitter finish. Kiss From A Rose? I hear you say. By Seal? WTF is metal about that? Well, quite frankly, nothing. However, on brewday, I was a little stressed about a little drip coming from the manway of the kettle. The seal is pretty specific about how it’s seated and I’d lost a brew in an incident earlier in the year. Last thing I needed was another 825L of boiling wort to mop up when I’d guests round. We were thinking about a name for said beer and then inspiration hit me “Why don’t we call it Kiss From A Rose, as I’m obsessed with Seal”. And there you have it – tenuous as ever – but the link back to a tune. Gotta say, I do prefer the 12in version of Killer he did with Adamski, but not sure that’s the best name for a beer. Keep an eye out over the next few days for news on when this is dropping over Xmas and New Year. All good retailers, our web store etc etc. Cheers Chris #craftbeer #beer #ipa #hazeboiz #craftbeerpics #beerpics #beerstagram #supportyourlocalbrewery #craftale ...

I know times are difficult and uncertain for everybody but please, please, please, if you can, support as many of the little guys on this list as you can over the next month or so. This year has hit small businesses hard and the lack of a cohesive, sensible government strategy and adequate support will continue to send many, many business to the wall. Wherever you are in the UK, search out the small businesses in your area working hard to continue to do the things they love for you and, more importantly, survive. Thank you. Hello. It’s been a while. 2 new beers being canned tomorrow! First up. Fight Fire With Fire. Dark Mild. 5%. The return of a previous fav, a proper Autumn/Winter drop. Grab yourself a 4 pack and a bag of scratchins from this weekend! Next up. The year 2020s a shitty blur isn’t it. Every day comes and goes. A breakfast stout, sweet vanilla, cacao and cold brew coffee for a mocha like delight. Albeit an 8.5% delight Exciting eh? Hold up! We ain’t done yet! 2 big beers coming next week in bottle! 1 - Blood Red Sky - a big bodied, 10.5% imperial stout brewed with cacao, toasted coconut and fresh raspberries. A north of the border desert in a SWEET 330ml package. 2 - Messe Noire. I like the band Behemoth. This is one of their songs. They are from Gdansk, on the Baltic Sea. Sooooo, there’s the tenuous link our beers always have - this a 9.3% straight up Baltic Porter. Lagered for 2 months, toasty, caramelly, forest fruity vibes in this Clean AF fermented beer. We have also worked again with the awesome No Fit State Clothing on the artwork for this, so expect some cool merch to drop off the back of this! Thanks for listening this far, we’ll keep you up to date as to when these 4 hit the store! Thank you. Stay safe x ...
Just planning a small batch (1 bbl) brew for next week using these. We are brewing up a 12.5% Imperial Stout based on a popular US chocolate bar with caramel, pretzels and peanuts! We be bubblin’ ...
When we started brewing many years ago, everything went into bottles. Some good, some bad. We firmly believe some beers, or beer styles, are more suited to and are infinity better when packaged and conditioned in bottles. We’ve also found since we started brewing on, and getting acclimatised to, the full size kit our willingness to experiment and be creative has waned a little. This will definitely return, but we have decided it was a good reason to launch our small batch range, something that will always sit alongside our bigger brews, bringing some proper noise! First up ‘Blood Red Sky’. This is an Imperial Stout (10.5%) that has been conditioned on cacao nibs, toasted coconut and fresh raspberries. It’s a rich, full bodied, sweet, chocolatey, coconutty, slightly tart, pudding in a glass. This will be available later this month in 330ml bottles, so keep an eye out for more news as it will be extremely limited! ...
Beer News! Part 1 of a few! So, after a bit of a break from small pack, we’ve quite a bit of dark stuff coming up in both cans and bottles, just in time for your Christmas stashes! First up, something we brewed this week. We brewed this on a very small scale previously and decided it deserved a scale up. This brews’s also the first time we’ve tried fermenting under pressure, with the locking in of flavour and benefit of natural carbonation that brings. The beer? Fight Fire With Fire, a Dark Mild. It’s not quite ‘Imperial’, but it’s not your normal Mild at 5%. It is however tasty AF and will be going into cans on Oct 22. Yes, you heard right, a Mild, that’s 5%, in a can! But what in the hell is this world coming to? 🤘🍻🤘🍻🤘 #craftbeer #beerpics #craftbeerporn #craftbeeruk #beer #mild #beerstagram #craftbeerpics #leviathanbrewing ...
Couple of days ago, we brewed the first of the next beers that, after a little break from canning, will be going into cans. Something dark. Something that doesn’t conform. We’ll tell you all about it very soon! We also thought we’d try something out for the first time - fermenting under pressure, the old spunding valve being pretty lively right now! Mmmmm, locked in flavour 😍🤘🍻 ...

When Ozzy wrote a song called Crazy Train, almost 40 years ago to the day, who knew he was singing about 2020? What. A. Fucking. Year. We started brewing just as lockdown set in and had to shift to cans from brew 2 onwards to survive this crazy ride. However, survive we have and, as we looked to put our first beer into keg since lockdown, we hooked up with the guys over at @nfsco to collab and bring something fitting for our ‘return’ to keg. And here it is…. CRAZY TRAIN. A 6.2% hazy IPA brewed with Southern Cross and an experimental US hop, to bring lemon and grapefruit citrus and tropical notes with a smooth bitterness. This is going 100% into 30L kegs. Available direct to local Brum trade so hit us up! For further afield contact Eebria Trade. Thought we’d try out new local Indian street food restaurant / take away @veerusbargrill this evening and oh man it didn’t not disappoint. I have a big love for chilli paneer and this was gorgeous. But the mixed grill? Wow. Juicy, succulent, very tasty, perfectly cooked meat. THE BEST GODDAM LAMB CHOPS I’VE EVER TASTED and I’ve had a few. All delivered in half hour, as hot as if you were sitting at table 1. Daughter had a very nice tandoori wrap and my future son in law had a Punjabi chicken curry he said was amazing.
