You And I Should Ride The Coast IPA

The Beer

You And I Should Ride The Coast is a Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe IPA.

The Inspiration

I wanted to brew something with a nice juicy hop profile but with more of a lingering bitter finish than many of the New England styled IPAs out there (which I do love btw).

The beer was brewed with Pilsner Malt and some wheat for a little body and we used the classic hop combo of Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe. Chico yeast completed the recipe and I've ended up with a nice tropical, citrus-y beer, with a little residual sweetness and a lovely bitter finish.

The name comes from local favourites Ocean Colour Scene's "The Day We Caught The Train". A band I love and a firm karaoke favourite of mine :-D
